In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cats' personalities.

Mango is a gentle brother who is super obedient and calm until it comes to food at which point all bets are off. He always follows us to any room of the house we're in just to make sure he isn't left out of anything.

Truffle is a kitten who has immeasurable energy and rarely sleeps. He loves to get scratches and will keep tapping your hand until he gets them!

How have your cats transformed your life from the moment you've met them till now?

They gave us the chance to learning how to be parents, to manage and share the duties between both of us even when we're tired from work. Mango and Truffle have brought so many hours of laughter to our house as we seem them tumble and play with each other or crash into walls in an attempt to chase a toy.

They taught us to be patient every time they tried to steal our food or climb onto the counters to drink from our cups. We have become better, kinder people because of them!

What do your cats mean to you?

Mango and Truffle are our furbabies who encourage us to exercise and spend time outside. They're the ones who wake us up early and have taught us to be responsible adults. They're also often the source of our entertainment and laughs! Definitely an irreplaceable part of the family.

How did you and your cats first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.

John and I (Annie) were looking to move out together and I'd always wanted a cat for as long as I could remember. We happened to mention this to our friend a week before we were supposed to move out and showed us a photo of the most adorable ginger runt who was fostered by their vet friend. No one wanted him, but we knew he was perfect. We visited him 2 days later and picked him up that very day.

Fast forward 5 months, we wanted to give Mango a friend to play with so our hunt began! We wanted someone playful and different from Mango...a longhaired, energetic, black cat! Not a day later and I saw a small black bundle who was dropped off at a Vet after spending his time on the streets during the horrific bushfires on Facebook! The day we visited him, we took him home, love at first sight. The rest is history!

What do you think your cats think of you?

We are their butlers, preparers of food, and giver of scratches.

Your cats are part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that they consider you part of theirs?

Mango and Truffle always jump up to our bed to say hi in the morning (or maybe it's just for the scratches) and walk into sleep with us at night. They sit at the door to say bye as we leave for work and always run to the door (or somehow are already waiting at the door) when we come home for work.

They come to disturb us at the most inopportune times (like the toilet, when we're working or trying to play games) just to sit on our lap. They always come when called and tilt their heads as if to say "Hello!"

What are some accounts your cat likes to follow on Instagram?

Why do you feel that it is important to show the world that Cats are Family?

People so often think that cats are all the same, independent creatures who don't love their owners like dogs do and only come for food. This is 100% not true. Just like all dogs and people have different personalities, so do cats. They have an abundance of love, they might just show it differently!
