In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cat's personalities.

She is energetic, vocal, cheeky, and very smart. She has her humans well trained!

How has your cat transformed your life from the moment you've met her till now?

Roxy has shifted our focus to making sure that she is well taken care of and her life is enriched. We spend a lot of time figuring out ways for her to join us on our favourite activities - we even purchased a campervan so that she can travel with us without having to adjust to a new hotel each night.

What does your cat mean to you?

Roxy means the world to us - she is truly a part of our family.

How did you and your cat first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.

We found Roxy from a breeder about an hour and a half drive from us - we had to fill out an application to make sure that we understood the special needs of having a Bengal. At the time there were two kitties available Roxy at 8 months old and two younger male kittens. We fell in love with Roxy’s personality when we saw videos of her playing - her independent and curious nature sealed the deal. Kory picked her up and brought her home - they have formed a very special bond as they spend the days together.

What do you think your cat thinks of you?

We think she sees us as her family and she tries to teach us how to be cats - epic fails in her opinion.

Your cat is part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that consider you part of theirs?

We think Roxy believes we’re her family - she grooms us (I hate when she licks my eyebrows - it feels like sandpaper!) and comes and meows at us until we follow her either to play or cuddle or clean out her litter box - she is very interactive and talkative.

Why do you feel that it is important to show the world that Cats are Family?

When you first asked me if I was interested in joining this group I was all-in immediately. I have not had a cat prior to Roxy and I thought they were rather aloof independent animals, but after I met a friends’ two Bengals who were both very interactive and chatty, I was convinced and we ended up adopting Roxy our 3.5 yr old Bengal.

Friends thought we were nuts, saying “I always thought you were a dog person” and the crazy cat people jokes soon followed. We feel that Roxy is an important part of our family (not our child), but a very important member of our family who we want to make sure lives the best life possible.

That means making sure that she has lots of enriching experiences both inside the home and outside. We see this group you’re forming to be another great way to connect with like-minded people and to share experiences, tips, and ideas to keep enhancing the bond we have with Roxy.
