In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cat's personalities.

Willow, I guess, is just like any house cat, except for the fact that our house is a campervan. She joined me when I started my travels 5 years ago and has made the road her home. She is very affectionate, but if she doesn't get enough outdoor time you better watch out! She will get very grumpy.

How has your cat transformed your life from the moment you've met her till now?

Willow has certainly taught me a lot about love and trust. She really had kept me going and I don't think I would have been traveling this long without her in our lives. She gives me a great sense of purpose.

What does your cat mean to you?

Willow has no doubt defined the last 5 years of my life and taught me many life lessons, e.g. never turn down a nap opportunity. It has also been a joy to see Willow and Steph's friendship grow and for Willow to accept her into our family.

How did you and your cat first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.

Willow was adopted from the Ten Lives Cat Centre in Hobart. Who knew that she was an adventure cat in waiting? We surely didn't - and she spent the first years with me as a house cat. Though it wasn't long before circumstances changed and we left everything we knew behind to travel Australia together in our van meeting Steph along the way!

What do you think your cat thinks of you?

Willow is very much a part of the family and she gets very upset if she's not included. I'm not 100% sure what she thinks of us. Likely best friends, certainly dinner providers.

Your cat is part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that consider you part of theirs?

Willow is very concerned for our grooming, So much, in fact, she will often try to groom us herself if you get your head to close to her.

Cats are such an important addition to any family. I think many are realizing this and truly seeing their potential as companions and fellow explorers.
