In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cat's personalities.
Haru's a super sweet lap cat who loves chin scratches. He is fairly confident and loves to watch what I'm doing. He also loves his kibbles and starts purring as soon as he hears me take out the measuring cup to weigh out his food. He has a bad habit of eating string on the fishing rod-like toys so I have to put them away now if I'm not playing with him.
How has your cat transformed your life from the moment you've met him till now?
Haru has helped me become a more responsible person with a more regular sleep pattern as I needed to wake up early to feed him and clean his litter box. His strange but hilarious antics like carrying broccoli upstairs in his mouth and climbing into a vase has filled my life with indescribable happiness. I've also become fully converted into a cat person and I hope to one day have many cats.
What does your cat mean to you?
Haru is my son and an important family member. I love him so much and he means the world to me. He makes any of my negative emotions go away when I see him and especially when he comes and sits on my lap.
How did you and your cat first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.
I had always been more of a dog person but Youtube videos of owners and their cats made me gradually more open to having a cat. After a while of searching for cats that were up for adoption, I came across Haru. I went to visit him at the vet and seeing him in person, I instantly knew that I had to adopt him. His adorable expression when I scratched his chin was super memorable. He came home on the 11th of December 2019.
What do you think your cat thinks of you?
Someone who provides him with food and a lap to sleep on I think.
Your cat is part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that she considers you part of theirs?
Haru likes to sit on my lap throughout the day and he's the most affectionate when I finish showering in the morning to go to work and when I come back home from work. I like to think that means he missed me just as I've missed him.
