Cat Family Story #48: Rosie, Lexi and Frankie

What are the names of your cats?

My cat's names are Rosie, Lexi and Frankie

Where is your cat family located in?

We live in Queensland, Australia.

What are the breeds of your cats?

We are all rescue kitties!

How old are your cats?

Rosie is 7, Lexi is 4 and Frankie is 1

Where can we find your cats on social media?

On Instagram @rosielexifrankie

In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cats' personalities.

Rosie - I am the queen bee that is sassy with a big heart. I love the finer things in life like going to the day spa and human food (I do not eat cat food). If you can't find me I'll be napping on the human bed waiting for the afternoon sun.

Lexi - I am the awkward middle child who has far too much love to give. I look up to my big sister Rosie and am becoming good friends with my little sister Frankie after a year together. My mums are my favourite people in the world, and my favourite time of the day is 6 pm when my dinner is served!

Frankie - I am the baby who walked in and changed everyone's perspective on life. I was found on the streets when I was an itty bitty kitty, and my Mums adopted me from the RSPCA a year ago. I love to adventure (only within our apartment), the outside world still makes me quite scared. My favourite things are food, food and food.

How have your cats transformed your life from the moment you've met them till now?

In ways, you can't imagine! They are the reason we work hard and the reason we are excited to come home everyday! Everybody should have a cat and if one is not enough, we can definitely recommend three!

What do your cats mean to you?

The entire world! We have chosen not to have children, so these three gorgeous kitties are our furbaby's.

How did you and your cats first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.

Rosie - We met Rosie in a cardboard box along with her brothers and sisters. It was love at first sight and we bonded instantly over couch cuddles. All her brothers and sisters found homes before her, and we knew she was ours!

Lexi - We drove for hours to a farm that had a litter of kittens for sale. A grey cat was not on the cards, but along came Lexi!

Frankie - We really wanted a third baby to complete our family. We looked every day on the RSPCA QLD website for months, and finally, we saw Frankie (then called Lola) down on the Gold Coast which is about an hour drive from us. We drove down the next day to 'the beach' and came home with baby Frankie.

What do you think your cats think of you?

Rosie - Pat givers, lifestyle developers (including Ubering me to the day spa to get a blow-dry and my nails done)

Lexi - The best Mum's in the world

Frankie - Food providers and fashion stylists

Your cats are part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that they consider you part of theirs?

Our babies are very perceptive and always know if something is wrong or if they need to be there for us. Every morning we are woken by Frankie, and every night we have Rosie & Lexi at the end of the bed. They are always around even when we can't see them!

Why do you feel that it is important to show the world that Cats are Family?

More and more people are choosing to have pets over children nowadays. Cats are the purrfect addition to any family, and it's lovely to recognise families who have kitties as kids!
